Recently, my basketball buddy, Ray, passed a casual remark on his few strands of white hair. He said he is getting old……at mid thirties? Hmmm….I thought being old is a lot OLDER. Well since I am on it, I might as well clear up some myths and note down some facts about Hair greying. So have you ever look into the mirror and like Ray wonder whether is your geying of hair is due to old age?
The colour of your hair comes from the pigment produced by your hair follicles. Technically, Ray is correct, in that he is getting older than he was, such that his hair follicles are not producing enough pigment and miss out on the few isolated strands of hair. However it is the greying that are sure signs of the follicles producing less and less pigment to the hair, thereby turning a whole patches or clumps of them grey. Are there any ways to slow the greying? Yes…. Besides being hereditary (sorry this one pretty not much you can do about it), there are many don’t that you can observe:
- Don’t Smoke
- Don’t consume excessive caffeine (coffee being the most common)
- Don’t skip you meal
- Don’t have a stressful lifestyle
Keeping a balance diet and regular exercises is the true way of life. Many conditions can be avoided so long as this is being adhere to. No difference to greying of hair really. There is absolutely no reasons to be worried about the greying of hair. It is neither a health condition nor dos it affects your image. What’s more greying of hair are seemed by many being wiser. So don’t worry about your few strands of white hair…it is nothing really… seriously. You may also post your queries here or email me at ableadam13@gmail.com. I will get back to you soonest.

Have you ever wonder how Body Odor develops and why men all over the world spend millions of dollars every year on deodorant or antiperspirant? BO is very much a medical condition as well as ones social problem. Those who have BO affects their social life significantly. They may be isolated and outcast by those around him. He may not understand why he is being avoided, as he who has BO usually don’t realise it themselves. I suppose you would know when you are not invited for the next thanksgiving dinner…
What causes Body Odor? Body Odor is caused by bacteria breaking down the sweat particles surfacing from the body. There is a number of reasons why you sweat excessively. It could be caused but the surrounding humidity and temperature, heredity, food and beverage intake, medications and other medical or health conditions. Wherever the case, once sweating occurs, the bacteria will start to erode the sweat which will then cause BO.
The most common “cure” is to use deodorant to mask the odor of perspiration or antiperspirant to reduce sweating. There are however other treatments such as medication or through injecting a drug to the nerve that controls the sweat gland to prevent one from sweating. Lastly, in rare cases where excessive sweating is experienced, a surgery may be recommended to cut the nerve controlling the sweat gland or totally removing it. Observing personal hygiene is also key in reducing sweating and body odor.
Eliminating BO will help to improve one’s overall social standing so that he can continue with a socially active lifestyle. A BO free body is an emotional healthy body. The conditions and effects may cause more problems to oneself more than a medical condition itself. You may want to try some of the methods suggested here to cure BO or you may also post your queries here or email me at ableadam13@gmail.com. I will get back to you soonest.
